Overview of the 2025 Korean e-Sports Association Fall Conference
The ‘2025 Korean e-Sports Association Fall Conference’ is set to take place at BEXCO Convention Hall No. 313 in Busan starting from 1 p.m. on the 15th. This event, hosted by the Korean e-Sports Association and organized by the Dongyang University e-Sports Business Group, aims to explore the broader educational, social, and industrial values of e-sports under the theme of “Better e-sports, Better World.” The conference will bring together experts, researchers, and industry professionals to discuss various critical topics related to the growth and development of e-sports.

A total of seven topics will be presented and discussed during the conference, covering a wide range of e-sports-related issues:

Exploring Considerations for the Introduction of e-sports as School Education– Professor Lim Tae-hyung from Jeonju National University of Education will analyze how e-sports can be integrated into future educational curricula. His presentation will focus on the potential benefits and challenges of incorporating e-sports into school systems.

Improving Player Support Systems– Professor Kim Yong-bin from Osan University and Professor Ahn Hyun-kyun from Myongji University will present findings from a qualitative case study aimed at enhancing player support systems. Their research will highlight ways to protect the psychological welfare of e-sports players.

Artificial Intelligence in e-Sports Analysis– Dr. Lee Kwang-sang from the Korea Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute will discuss the implementation of a real-time e-sports analysis service framework using artificial intelligence. He will also suggest directions for technology-oriented e-sports development.

Localization Strategy of the e-Sports Industry– Dr. Yang Hee-min from Hanyang University will explore the factors that influence the acceptance of the localization system within e-sports fandom. His research will provide insights into how the industry can better adapt to different cultural contexts.

Social Responsibility Management in e-Sports– Dr. Jang Tae-young from Pusan National University will analyze cases of social responsibility management through research on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities and the working-level awareness of e-sports professional teams.

E-Sports Judgment System– Professor Kim Ki-hyun from Hanshin University will highlight the current status and challenges of the e-sports judgment system. His presentation will address the need for more standardized and transparent decision-making processes in competitive settings.

Adolescents’ Perceptions of e-Sports– Dr. Oh Kwang-soo from the Asia Esports Industry Support Center will discuss changes in adolescents’ perceptions of e-sports through a study on the structural relationship between middle and high school students’ motivation to watch e-sports and their attitudes and values.
Vision for the Future of e-Sports
Lee Hak-joon, president of the Korean e-Sports Association, emphasized the importance of the conference in showcasing e-sports as a significant social phenomenon that impacts education, culture, and industry. He stated, “This conference is not just a competition, but a meaningful place to show that e-sports is a social phenomenon that affects education, culture, and industry as a whole. We will seek a sound direction for e-sports through an integrated discussion that connects academics and industries.”
