560 Graduates Celebrate at NUST EandME Convocation

NUST EME Concludes Convocation Ceremony with 560 Graduates

The National University of Science and Technology (NUST) College of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering (EME) recently held its convocation ceremony, during which 560 students were awarded degrees for successfully completing various academic programs. The event took place in Rawalpindi and was attended by a large number of faculty members, students, and their families.

The ceremony was graced by Maj Gen Atique Ahmed, HI (M), Director General Electrical and Mechanical Engineering (DG EME), who served as the chief guest. His presence added a significant touch to the occasion, highlighting the importance of the event within the academic and military communities.

During the convocation, more than 560 students received their degrees, including those from undergraduate, Master’s, and PhD programs. The graduates came from diverse disciplines such as Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Engineering Management, and Applied Mathematics.

In his address, the chief guest expressed his admiration for the graduating students and commended the EME for maintaining high standards in teaching and research. He also praised the college for its strong focus on research and development at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Additionally, he highlighted the accreditation of the college’s engineering programs under the Washington Accord, which is a global benchmark for engineering education.

The chief guest offered some valuable advice to the graduates, urging them to apply their skills in real-world scenarios. He expressed confidence that they would use the knowledge and expertise gained at NUST EME to make a positive impact on society, particularly among the less privileged and deprived sections of the population.

In addition to the degree conferrals, several awards were presented to outstanding students. The President’s Gold Medals were given to top performers, recognizing their exceptional academic achievements. Other honors were also bestowed upon deserving faculty members and staff.

The event concluded with a sense of accomplishment and pride, marking a significant milestone in the lives of the graduates. It also underscored the commitment of the NUST EME to excellence in education and research.
