Over the past 48 hours alone, eight people have been killed, many others injured, and more than 75 individuals abducted. Livestock have been stolen, and farmers are unable to access their fields to harvest crops. The impact on daily life is devastating, with entire communities forced to flee their homes.

In Yankwani, one of the largest towns in the region, the situation is particularly dire. The population has drastically decreased, with fewer than 10 women remaining. The entire community has abandoned their homes and possessions, leaving behind everything they once knew. Many displaced persons, mostly women and children, are now sleeping on roadsides and at fuel stations in Dutsen Reme and Bakori. The lack of basic necessities and safety is putting their lives at risk.
Lack of Support from Local Leadership

Despite the severity of the situation, the affected areas are not considered a priority in his administration. This neglect has left the residents feeling abandoned and without hope.
