Overview of the Tanzania General Election Results
A week after the Tanzania General Election, the results from various constituencies have been announced by election supervisors. The voting took place on October 29, 2025, and the ruling party, Chama cha Mapinduzi (CCM), has emerged as the dominant force in most areas across the country.
The delay in releasing these results was primarily due to internet shutdowns that disrupted the transmission and publication of election data, including vote tallies. Despite this challenge, the process continued, and election supervisors have since provided detailed reports on the winning parliamentary candidates. These candidates are expected to report to Parliament on November 8, 2025, for official registration before the House sessions commence.
While CCM secured a majority of the constituencies, opposition parties such as ACT Wazalendo and Chaumma managed to capture a few seats, ensuring their representation in Parliament.
