The Chief Executive Officer of Beta Glass Plc, Alexander Gendis, has emphasized the company’s dedication to Nigeria’s industrial and economic growth. A recent socio-economic impact report highlighted the scale of Beta Glass’ operations over the past decade, showcasing its substantial contributions to the country’s economy.

An independent assessment conducted by Deloitte evaluated the company’s activities between 2015 and 2024 across several key areas, including production, employment, tax contribution, and community engagement. The findings revealed that Beta Glass generated an estimated N324.7bn in economic output in 2024 alone. Over the ten-year period, the company’s total contribution to the Nigerian economy was approximately N1.1tn.

Beta Glass operates manufacturing plants in Ogun and Delta states, where it supported more than 4,000 jobs in 2024 through both direct and indirect roles. Many of the employees at these facilities are sourced from nearby towns and communities, further strengthening local economies.

The report also indicated that the company contributed N64.7bn in taxes between 2015 and 2024. At the state level, its activities had a broader economic influence. For instance, the Agbara plant in Ogun State was estimated to account for around 3.1 per cent of the state’s GDP in 2024. Similarly, its operations in Delta State contributed about 2 per cent to that state’s output.

In response to the findings, Gendis expressed his satisfaction with the report, which highlights Beta Glass’ ongoing presence and commitment within Nigeria’s manufacturing sector.
