New Gymnasium Unveiled for Rwanda National Volleyball League

The fourth round of the 2025/26 Rwanda National Volleyball League (RVNL) is set to feature a new and impressive gymnasium built by Rwanda Energy Group (REG). This facility, located in Muhima Sector within the premises of Saint Joseph le Travailleur TSS, has a seating capacity of over 800 fans. It marks the fourth indoor venue approved to host volleyball games, joining Petit Stade, Gisagara Gymnasium, and Kirehe Gymnasium, which is currently undergoing final renovation works.

In the women’s category, the fixture between East Africa University Rwanda (EAUR) and APR WVC will open the volleyball action on Friday, November 7. Both teams have remained unbeaten in their past two games, making this match a highly anticipated event. The next game will feature REG VC in the men’s category as they face the law enforcers Police VC. Volleyball fans will witness REG playing with home advantage for the first time at their new facility.

“This is an advantage to boost our confidence as REG aims to claim this season’s championship. It is also a significant development in our sport as supporting infrastructure becomes available,” said REG team captain Patrick Kavalo Akumuntu.
