Regina Daniels’ Brother Charged in Conspiracy and Assault Case

Legal Proceedings Against Samuel Ojeogwu

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has taken legal action against Samuel Ojeogwu, the brother of renowned Nollywood actress Regina Daniels. He is currently facing charges including criminal conspiracy, trespass, assault, intimidation, and theft. These allegations stem from a petition submitted to the FCT Metro Area Command on October 28, 2025.

In a public statement released on Friday, SP Josephine Adeh, the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, outlined the details of the case. She mentioned that the petition was filed against Ojeogwu and three other individuals, accusing them of various criminal activities such as criminal conspiracy, trespass, assault, criminal intimidation, theft, and cyberbullying.

Adeh explained that Ojeogwu did not respond to multiple police invitations for questioning. As a result, he was eventually arrested in Lagos based on an arrest warrant issued by a competent court and subsequently transferred to Abuja for further investigation.

Following the completion of the investigations, Ojeogwu was arraigned before a competent court in Abuja on November 6, 2025. The court charged him with offenses related to criminal conspiracy, criminal trespass, assault, criminal intimidation, and theft. He has since been remanded by the court pending the fulfillment of his bail conditions.

The police spokesperson emphasized the command’s commitment to professional policing, due process, and the rule of law. This incident has sparked heightened tension within Regina Daniels’ family. The actress recently gained attention after expressing her emotional distress over her brother’s detention, stating, “I will go back,” while lamenting the challenges her family is facing.

This emotional outburst came after reports surfaced about alleged marital issues between Regina Daniels and her husband, Senator Ned Nwoko. She accused him of physically assaulting her, a claim that the Senator has denied, suggesting that her behavior may have been influenced by substance abuse.
