Strategic Partnership Between Ethiopian and Saudi Entrepreneurs

Addis Ababa, November 7, 2025 – A significant collaboration has been established between the Ethiopian Youth Entrepreneurs Association and the Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority of Saudi Arabia (Monsha’at). This partnership was formalized during the BIBAN 2025 Forum held at the Riyadh Front Exhibition and Convention Center. The alliance is designed to create a platform for meaningful exchange between entrepreneurs from Africa, especially Ethiopia, and Saudi Arabia.

Key Objectives of the Partnership

The primary goals of this partnership include:

  • Promoting knowledge and technology transfer between the two regions.
  • Facilitating co-founder and startup matchmaking to encourage collaborative ventures.
  • Enhancing capacity building through training and development programs.
  • Expanding cross-border market access for small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

Additionally, the initiative aims to accelerate youth-led innovation by introducing interest-free financing models where appropriate. According to a press release, Monsha’at has reaffirmed its commitment to enabling entrepreneurs to benefit from successful international experiences. The agreement was signed on behalf of Monsha’at by Abdulmohsen Salem H. Alsalem, the General Manager of Partnerships. On the side of the Ethiopian Youth Entrepreneurs Association, the deal was signed by President Samiya Abdulkadir Godu.
