Otieno Kajwang’s Son’s Heartwarming Wedding Intro at Mother’s Memorial Stuns Kenyans

A Heartfelt Tribute at a Requiem Mass

David Brian Ajwang brought a moment of warmth and laughter to the church during his mother’s requiem mass in Nairobi, as he introduced his wife with heartfelt words. His admiration for her was evident, and the congregation couldn’t help but admire the deep bond between them.

A Loving Relationship

Rose, who had been a respected lecturer and former head of the Kenyatta University alumni body, had been unwell for some time. She was known for her intelligence and strength, and her story with the late senator was one of love that began on a bus ride in Buruburu. Brian took the opportunity to express his gratitude to the Kisii people, acknowledging that his wife came from this tribe and that they had given him the perfect partner.

“In life, I was blessed. I would like to thank people from Kisii. I would like to recognize my sweetheart, intelligent, beautiful wife,” he said, calling her to the front to receive her tribute.

A Moving Speech

The young beauty confidently walked to the podium and shared her thoughts on her relationship with the late Rose. “I have known Rose for years; she was my mother-in-law. She was strong, very beautiful, and resilient. I got to know her more in sickness as I took care of her, and she fought with strength and dignity,” she said. She also expressed her love for Rose and prayed for strength to navigate this loss.

Honoring a Strong Mother

Brian also praised his mother, describing her as a strong, beautiful, and intelligent woman. He spoke about how she stood by him when he lost his way and struggled with alcohol abuse, but he has since turned his life around and embraced Christ. His new mission is to introduce others to Jesus.

Introducing Their Children

The couple introduced their four children to the congregation, with the eldest daughter sharing how she witnessed her grandmother’s pain but was now glad that she was no longer suffering.

Public Reaction

The story of Brian’s heartfelt tribute resonated with many Kenyans. Tonny Gachuru commented, “Luo men how they introduce their wives, I like that.” Peter Ooko added, “Fare thee well, Rose, watching you from Opoda Farm Bondo.” Hon Gilma Onchagwa simply said, “Fare thee well, Rose.”

The Impact of Loss

In a previous story, it was revealed that when Kajwang passed away in 2014 after a cardiac arrest, many Kenyans were shocked. Brian was deeply affected and became an alcoholic. He later shared how his mother’s death changed his life and how she helped him find his way back.

A Journey of Healing

Brian’s journey from despair to hope has been a testament to the power of love, family, and faith. His tribute to his mother and wife not only honored their lives but also inspired those around him to cherish their own relationships and find strength in difficult times.
