A New Digital Hub for Aviation Professionals
A brand-new digital hub has launched, specifically designed for aviation professionals to connect while overseas and share local recommendations. This innovative platform is tailored to the unique lifestyle of pilots, cabin crew, and other members of the flying community.
The Club Aviator app offers a curated collection of global recommendations, ranging from must-visit restaurants and rooftop bars to hidden cultural spots and up-to-date travel news. It provides a way for those in the aviation industry to discover local gems shared by experienced travelers, whether they are on a quick layover or an extended trip.
Available for free download on macOS and Android devices, the app is designed as a closed-user platform. It serves the 11 million professionals working in the aviation industry, helping them find connections and insights from others in the know.
Club Aviator was created by Maggie Draycott, a prominent figure in the global travel and aviation sector. She was recognized by Condé Nast Traveller as one of the 50 Most Influential Travellers. Maggie previously worked on the iconic Concorde aircraft brands team and spent 15 years leading British Airways’ ‘Premier and High Value Customers’ division.
She shared her inspiration for the app with The Mail: “I came up with the idea during the end of the pandemic. There was nothing out there to connect people within the airline industry. So many of those working in the flying community found themselves sitting in their hotel rooms, not knowing anyone.”
“Every night, there are 2,000 crew in New York City, and nobody knows each other. We wanted to change that.”

“Club Aviator is a one-stop solution for professionals to arrange meet-ups, join chat groups, and share itineraries, hacks, and insights. More than anything, it’s a home from home—knowing you always have a friend to call on wherever you are in the world.”
The app, which took four years to develop, officially launched on October 1st and has already generated significant global interest. To ensure authenticity and security, the app requires a verified work email for registration.
During the introductory period, Club Aviator is free to download and use. It can be accessed through the App Store or Google Play under the name ClubAviator.
