Empowering Rural Women Through Economic Initiatives

The Sindh Rural Support Organization (SRSO) recently conducted a significant event in Village Ghatti, UC Mubarak Pur, Taluka Pano Aqil, district Sukkur. During this event, 120 cheques were distributed among women beneficiaries as part of the People’s Poverty Reduction Program (PPRP). The initiative aimed to provide low-cost housing and interest-free loans to identified women, focusing on economic empowerment and poverty reduction.

The ceremony was presided over by Jam Qadir Dharejo, who represented the Minister for Industries Sindh, Jam Ikramullah Dharejo. Other notable guests included the Assistant Commissioner (AC) of Pano Aqil, Ms Urwah Til Wosqa, Syndicate Member of Aroor University Sukkur Rafeeq Soomro, and Parwaiz Ghani. Additionally, Aamir Abbas Mangi, the Regional General Manager of the Sukkur region for SRSO, along with other team members, participated in the event, showcasing the organization’s commitment to empowering rural women.

During the event, the guests visited newly constructed DPCs (Drought Proofing Centers) and kitchen gardening plots. They also engaged in meaningful dialogue with the local community, expressing appreciation for SRSO’s efforts in reducing poverty and promoting community development.
