Surprise Inspection and Joint Efforts to Combat Dengue
On Saturday, the Administrator of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC), Md Mahmudul Hasan, conducted a surprise field visit to inspect ongoing larviciding and cleanliness drives in the Green Road Staff Quarters and Dhanmondi areas. The purpose of the visit was to assess the progress of initiatives aimed at controlling dengue, a disease that has been a growing concern in urban areas.
During the inspection, the Administrator provided necessary directives to the officials involved in the operations. He emphasized the importance of maintaining high standards of cleanliness and effective mosquito control measures to prevent the spread of dengue. The Administrator pointed out that the government staff quarters fall under the jurisdiction of the Public Works Department (PWD).
