NCP Launches Nomination Form Sales for Upcoming National Election
The National Citizens’ Party (NCP) has initiated the sale of nomination forms for individuals aspiring to become candidates in the upcoming 13th national election. The party has set the price of each form at Tk 10,000, marking a significant step in the electoral process.
At a press briefing held on Thursday evening, Nasiruddin Patwary, the Chief Coordinator of the NCP, announced this initiative. He emphasized that the party is committed to ensuring inclusivity and accessibility for all potential candidates. In particular, freedom fighters and those from low-income backgrounds will have the opportunity to purchase the forms at a reduced rate of Tk 2,000.
Patwary outlined the requirements for applying. Individuals interested in submitting their nomination must be primary members of the NCP. They are also required to provide their personal details, political background, and an ideological statement as part of the application process. This ensures that all candidates align with the party’s values and objectives.
The sale of nomination forms will continue until November 13, providing ample time for aspiring candidates to complete the necessary steps. Following this, the NCP plans to release its preliminary list of candidates on November 15. This timeline allows the party to review applications and finalize the list before the official campaign period begins.
Dr Tasnim Jara, Secretary of the NCP Central Election Committee, provided further details on the availability of the nomination forms. She stated that the forms can be obtained through three channels: the party’s central office, its online portal, and from the two chief organizers or the organizational secretary. This multi-channel approach aims to make the process more convenient for all applicants.
