BGMEA Signs MoUs with Top Healthcare Providers to Enhance Access to Quality Medical Services

In a significant move aimed at improving healthcare accessibility for its members and their families, the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) has signed Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with ten leading healthcare providers. This initiative is designed to encourage individuals to seek quality medical and diagnostic services within the country rather than traveling abroad for treatment.

The MoUs were signed on Thursday at the BGMEA Complex in Uttara, Dhaka. The event was presided over by BGMEA President Mahmud Hasan Khan, who emphasized the importance of this partnership in ensuring affordable and advanced healthcare for the garment industry workers and their dependents.

  9. United Hospital Ltd.
  10. United Healthcare Services Ltd.

Through these partnerships, BGMEA members, employees, and their dependents will now have access to advanced medical treatment and diagnostic services at discounted rates.

During the event, BGMEA President Mahmud Hasan Khan made an important announcement regarding the association’s long-term vision for healthcare. He revealed that BGMEA is taking the initiative to establish a hospital in the Gazipur/Ashulia region. This new facility aims to provide quality and affordable medical care specifically to the workers in the ready-made garment (RMG) sector.
