The Ekiti State University (EKSU) Alumni Association recently celebrated a momentous occasion by inducting Mr. Akinsanmi Falaki into its prestigious Hall of Fame under the Platinum Category. This recognition is reserved for individuals who have demonstrated exceptional professional achievements, leadership, and a deep commitment to excellence.
Falaki, a distinguished banker and business leader, has made significant contributions to Nigeria’s financial services sector over the past two decades. His journey began with a B.Sc. in Business Management from what was then known as the University of Ado-Ekiti, now recognized as EKSU. He further enhanced his expertise with an MBA in Human Resource Management, and later earned a certification in Corporate Governance from the renowned Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University in Chicago, USA.
Starting his career as an intern at EIB International Bank in 2003, Falaki quickly rose through the ranks due to his passion and professionalism. By 2009, he had become the Head of Corporate and Commercial Banking at Skye Bank’s Maitama Branch. In record time, he reached the position of Assistant General Manager and DGM/Regional Head, Abuja and North Central.
Falaki’s dedication and performance eventually led him to his current management position, where he continues to make an impact. During the induction ceremony, the President of the EKSU Alumni Association, Ambassador Seyi Idowu, praised Falaki as “a beacon of excellence and a model of the university’s core values of integrity, innovation, and leadership.”
