VIDEO: How Prayer Transformed My Wife’s HIV Status — Bishop Abioye

A Story of Faith and Healing

The founder of Conquerors Global Assembly, Bishop David Abioye, has shared a powerful testimony about his wife’s journey with HIV during the COVID-19 pandemic. According to the story, his wife was initially diagnosed with the virus, but through faith and divine intervention, she was later declared free of the illness.

During a Sunday service, Abioye spoke about divine healing, recounting how he reacted when doctors informed him that his wife had tested positive for HIV. He said he immediately rejected the medical report and insisted on further testing after praying and making scriptural confessions of faith.

Abioye recalled saying, “During the COVID-19 period, they told me my wife had HIV. I said no. Not in this body.”

He continued, “By the time they checked her… Because I received scriptural revelations that ‘the prince of this world came to check me and they found nothing.’ So I said, ‘Go and do the checkup.’”

The results of the checkup were astonishing—nothing was found. This experience reinforced Abioye’s belief in the power of faith and the importance of fighting sickness rather than accepting it.

The Power of Prayer and Scripture

Abioye emphasized that healing is not passive. He stated, “Healing is not for gentlemen, you don’t nurse sickness to go, you fight sickness to go.”

His message resonated with many in the congregation, who saw his actions as a demonstration of unwavering faith. By refusing to accept the diagnosis and instead turning to prayer and scripture, he believed he was following God’s guidance.

This story highlights the deep connection between faith and health, especially in times of crisis. It also underscores the role of spiritual beliefs in shaping personal and communal responses to illness.
