Rod Stewart’s Son Faces a Disastrous Debut in Boxing
Rod Stewart, the legendary rock singer, needs no introduction. However, it is his son who recently made headlines for an unexpected and unfortunate event during a professional boxing match. Sean Stewart, the third eldest of Rod’s eight children, took to the ring on Saturday for his debut in the world of professional boxing.
The match was part of the Misfits Boxing card, where Sean faced off against BDave, a 27-year-old streamer from Nashville, Texas. The event was highly anticipated, especially given Sean’s famous lineage and the attention that came with it. Unfortunately, the outcome of the fight was far from what anyone expected.
Within just 15 seconds of the match starting, Sean found himself on the receiving end of a devastating knockout. This marked a record KO under the Misfits banner, highlighting the quick and brutal nature of the fight. As the two fighters engaged in close-range action, BDave managed to slip an overhand combination from Stewart before landing a powerful overhand right of his own.
The shot struck Stewart squarely on the jaw, and to the surprise of many, he dropped his guard. As he backed away with both arms down, BDave delivered another overhand right that sent Stewart crashing to the canvas. The referee immediately waved the fight, which was scheduled to last three rounds of three minutes each.
Stewart lay motionless on his back as the referee called for the stoppage. Meanwhile, members of his corner rushed over to check on his well-being. Despite the loss, the event sparked a lot of discussion, particularly about Sean’s background in the sport.
Sean, who is 18 years older than BDave, was described as a “gym warrior” by commentator Ben ‘The Bane’ Davis. It was also reported that Sean had been training since the age of six, which added to the intrigue surrounding his performance.
Rod Stewart, who was performing in London at the time, could not be present for the match. However, his celebrity status was still very much in the spotlight, as the organizers of Misfits frequently referred to Sean throughout the week as “Rod Stewart’s Son.”
This event has brought a new level of attention to Sean Stewart, not only as the son of a music legend but also as someone stepping into the world of professional boxing. While the debut was not successful, it certainly provided a memorable moment for fans and spectators alike.
