Korea Sports Leisure: Gambling Addiction Threatens Consignment Business

Addressing Gambling Addiction: A Comprehensive Campaign

Korea Sports Leisure, a consignment company associated with Sports Toto, has recently completed its “Gambling Addiction Prevention Campaign” in four stores located in Nam-gu, Ulsan. This initiative, which took place on October 21, aimed to raise awareness about the risks of excessive gambling and promote responsible usage of sports betting services.

The campaign involved both online and offline activities designed to prevent customers from becoming overly immersed in gambling. It also sought to foster a culture of responsible voting rights usage among store operators and customers alike. As part of this effort, officials from Korea Sports and Leisure collected signatures from sales owners in Nam-gu, Ulsan Metropolitan City, who pledged to adhere to Sports Toto’s sales regulations and avoid encouraging excessive gambling behavior among customers.

In addition to these efforts, the campaign included guidance activities where customers were invited to make a promise to purchase voting rights in small amounts. This was intended to encourage more mindful and controlled participation in sports betting.

Collaborative Efforts to Combat Gambling Issues

The Ulsan Gambling Problem Prevention and Healing Center in Busan played a significant role in the campaign by conducting a “Gambling Problem Screening (CPGI)” for customers visiting the area. This screening aimed to identify potential signs of gambling addiction early and provide necessary support. The center also actively participated in the event by distributing information and preventive messages about gambling addiction through on-site counseling sessions.

At the campaign site, a tablet was placed in each store to screen a sound video promoting Sports Toto’s over-immersion counseling channel called ‘Soundplay’. This initiative helped raise awareness about the available resources for those struggling with gambling issues. Furthermore, informational leaflets were provided to customers to help prevent damage caused by illegal private finance activities, reinforcing the importance of user protection.

Continued Commitment to Responsible Gambling

An official from Korea Sports and Leisure stated that the campaign marked the successful completion of the third offline gambling addiction prevention initiative in the second half of the year. This follows similar efforts in Busan (Busanjin-gu) and Seoul (Gwangjin, Seongdong-gu). The organization emphasized the need for continued public interest and participation in future guidance activities that will span both online and offline platforms.
