Kathmandu, Nov. 6 — Ncell has entered into a strategic partnership with MetLife Nepal to introduce a groundbreaking service called ‘Data Sangai Jeevan Beema.’ This innovative offering allows customers to purchase mobile data packages that come with life and critical illness insurance coverage, making it easier for users to access essential financial protection alongside their digital services.
The new service provides two distinct packages, as announced by Ncell in a press release on Thursday. The first option is the Rs99 pack, which includes 100MB of data valid for three days, along with term life insurance of Rs200,000 and critical illness coverage of the same amount. Both insurance benefits are valid for 30 days. The second package, priced at Rs39, offers 100MB of data for three days, combined with Rs50,000 each in life and critical illness insurance coverage.
Customers can easily subscribe to either of these packages through the Ncell App or by dialing 1234#. Once registered, the term life insurance coverage becomes effective immediately. However, the critical illness benefits have a 30-day waiting period before they become active.
Ncell emphasizes that this initiative is designed to increase access to insurance services across Nepal, especially for communities that have traditionally been underserved. By providing affordable digital enrollment options, the company aims to offer meaningful protection to its customers while promoting financial security.
