George Clifford Owusu, a veteran journalist who left an indelible mark on the Ghanaian media industry, will be laid to rest on Saturday, November 8, 2025. His funeral services will take place at the Forecourt of the Apenkwa Presbyterian Church in Accra, marking the end of a life dedicated to the principles of journalism and public service.

Owusu, who was 53 years old, passed away in September 2025 after a battle with an undisclosed illness. His death has sent shockwaves through the media community, as colleagues and friends mourn the loss of a respected figure who contributed significantly to the field over three decades.

The funeral arrangements include a laying-in-state and pre-burial service that will begin at 6:00 a.m., followed by the burial service at 9:00 a.m. After the ceremony, he will be interred at the Achimota Cemetery. The following day, on Sunday, November 9, 2025, a thanksgiving service will be held at the Awakeners International Chapel, Ablekuma Pentecost Junction, starting at 9:00 a.m. After the service, funeral rites will continue at Dome Pillar 2.
