Strengthening Collaboration Between Nigeria Customs Service and NYSC
In a significant move to enhance cooperation between the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) and the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), the Customs Area Controller, Comptroller Saad Hassan, recently visited the Kaduna State NYSC Coordinator at the NYSC Secretariat in Kaduna. This courtesy visit aimed to reinforce the partnership and ensure continued support for the development of corps members.
During the meeting, Comptroller Hassan emphasized the NCS’s commitment to the welfare and growth of all corps members. He highlighted that those assigned to the service are well-integrated into different units, where they gain hands-on experience in administrative and operational procedures. This exposure helps them understand the inner workings of the organization and prepares them for future roles in public service.
“Through mentorship and exposure to professional ethics, we are building a pipeline of future leaders who will serve the nation with dedication and excellence,” said Comptroller Hassan. His statement reflects the NCS’s broader vision of contributing to national development by nurturing young Nigerians in public service values and professional ethics.
He further added, “By investing in the younger generation, we aim to nurture young Nigerians who embody the principles of integrity, discipline, values, and accountability, which are essential to effective public service and national progress.” This initiative not only focuses on capacity building but also underscores the importance of institutional collaboration. The partnership between the NCS and NYSC represents a shared vision for a more prosperous society.
The State Coordinator of NYSC, Kaduna, Mrs Efeke Murna Dadaza, welcomed the CAC and praised the NCS for its ongoing support and hospitality towards corps members.
