Faisalabad Secures Dominant Win Over Lahore Region Whites

Faisalabad delivered a commanding performance in their sixth-round Quaid-e-Azam Trophy 2025-26 match against Lahore Region Whites on the second day. The game took place at the Diamond Cricket Ground in Islamabad, where Faisalabad’s bowlers played a crucial role in securing a convincing victory.

Resuming from an overnight score of 69-5, Faisalabad were eventually dismissed for 115 in 39.5 overs. Aamer Jamal and Nisar Ahmad were the standout bowlers for Lahore, sharing eight wickets equally to restrict Faisalabad to a modest total. However, Faisalabad’s bowling attack proved too strong, as they managed to bowl out Lahore for just 81 in 20.5 overs.

Khurram Shahzad, who was named the player of the match, played a fiery spell, taking 5 wickets for 40 runs. Asad Raza also contributed significantly with 3 wickets for 14 runs. This brilliant display by Faisalabad’s bowlers allowed them to take control of the match.

In the chase, Faisalabad needed 146 runs to win. They achieved the target comfortably in 26.1 overs with four wickets remaining. Faham-ul-Haq played a vital knock of 42 runs, guiding his team to a memorable victory.

Karachi Blues Face Tough Challenge Against Peshawar

At Marghzar Cricket Ground, Karachi Blues faced a tough challenge from Peshawar. After resuming from 323-7, Karachi Blues were eventually dismissed for 391 in 107 overs. Saud Shakeel narrowly missed his 23rd first-class century, falling for 93 runs. M Amir Khan was the most successful bowler for Peshawar, taking 4 wickets for 87 runs.

In reply, Peshawar collapsed for 165 in 50.3 overs despite Israrullah’s 62 runs. M Umar was the standout bowler for Karachi Blues, taking 6 wickets for 30 runs. Karachi Blues ended the day at 24-0.

FATA Continue Their Dominance

At Shoaib Akhtar Cricket Stadium, FATA continued their dominance. They declared their innings at 687-7 after starting from 460-3. Khushdil Shah played a magnificent innings, converting his overnight century into a double-century. He scored 206 runs off 257 balls, hitting 24 fours and three sixes.

For Abbottabad, Kamran Ghulam took 3 wickets for 43 runs. Abbottabad reached 113-4 at stumps, with Shahzaib Khan unbeaten on 45.

Bahawalpur Post Strong Total

At Abbottabad Cricket Stadium, Bahawalpur posted a strong total of 511-9 thanks to centuries from Mohammad Ammar (166) and Saad Khan (155). The pair shared a 227-run partnership. Sialkot ended the day at 41-0.

Islamabad Bowls Out Multan

At Imran Khan Cricket Stadium, Islamabad bowled out Multan for 170 after posting 333 in their first innings. Hunain Shah impressed with both bat and ball, scoring 51 runs and taking three wickets. Multan followed on and reached 19-0 by stumps.
