Emotional Outburst and Family Struggles
Nollywood actress Regina Daniels recently shared a deeply emotional video that revealed her struggles with family issues, leading to an outburst of frustration and despair. In the video, which she posted on her Instagram Story, she expressed her feelings of being overwhelmed and emotionally drained.
“I tried. I feel like I’m going crazy, I’m losing my mind, and it’s not making any sense. I’m really crying in front of everybody,” she said in the emotional clip. The actress was clearly struggling, showing a side of her that is rarely seen by the public.
A Reconciliation for Her Sake
Earlier, Daniels had celebrated the reconciliation of her parents, who had been estranged for some time. She mentioned that her parents came together solely for her happiness, describing them as “two concluded sworn enemies reuniting with no negative ulterior motive other than their daughter’s happiness.”
Currently, her parents are in Abuja, working together to secure the release of her brother, Sammy, who has allegedly been in detention for days. Daniels expressed her determination to get him out, even if it means taking drastic measures.
“Sammy’s detainment is taking way too long, but we will get him out even if I have to march there myself and create a storm! Since they want me!” she stated.
Searching for Sammy
In another video, fellow actress Mercy Johnson was seen searching for Sammy. Johnson could be heard saying, “He’s not here,” before adding that she would continue searching elsewhere. This shows the support from her peers during this difficult time.
Amid tears, Daniels expressed her frustration and hinted at returning to her husband. “But please, what am I even begging for? I don’t know. Do you guys think it’s easy? Every time I wake up, I say one thing — oh my brother, today I hear good news, he’s about to be free, then tomorrow I hear another thing. Like, what’s the problem? But I’ve tried. I have to go. I will go back,” she said.
Domestic Violence Allegations
The emotional outburst comes weeks after Daniels hinted at experiencing domestic violence in her marriage. On October 18, a viral video showed her in tears, surrounded by aides and family, saying, “In Ned Nwoko’s house, I am nothing. But in my house, I am a queen. Not again. I can’t stand the violence, it’s too much.”
Nwoko later denied the allegations, claiming his wife’s outburst stemmed from “drug and alcohol abuse” and insisting she needed rehabilitation.
Plea for Support
On Wednesday, Daniels released another video where she pleaded with Nigerians to stop attacking her mother, describing her as her “pillar and protector.” She also spoke emotionally about her sons, Munir and Khalifa, vowing to protect and raise them despite her marital troubles.
“I’m going to fight for my children. I’ll take them, train them, and raise them with or without your support,” she declared, adding that her family never approved of her marriage.
