EJAE’s ‘Golden’ Nominated for Five Grammys

EJAE, a singer and composer known for her work on the animated filmKPop Demon Hunters, expressed overwhelming emotions after her song was nominated for a Grammy Award. The Grammy Awards are considered the most prestigious honors in the American music industry. EJAE shared her excitement on social media, stating, “Being nominated for the Grammys is beyond anything I could have imagined.” She added, “To be nominated for ‘Song of the Year’? It’s hard to even say it’s a dream come true.”

On the 8th, EJAE took to Instagram to share her thoughts, highlighting the significance of the nomination. Earlier, on the 7th (local time), the nominees for the 68th Grammy Awards were announced. Among the list wasGolden, the most popular track fromKPop Demon Hunters, which received nominations in five categories, including ‘Song of the Year.’ EJAE, a Korean-American artist who trained as a singer in South Korea, contributed to the song by providing vocals, writing lyrics, and composing the track.

EJAE expressed deep gratitude to the fans of the movie, saying, “This wouldn’t have been possible without their tremendous support.” She also thanked Rei Ami and Audrey Nuna, who co-performedGolden, as well as the collaborators and creators involved in the film’s soundtrack.

In addition to EJAE’s achievements, this year’s Grammy Awards also saw Rosé, a member of BLACKPINK, receive recognition for her hitAPT.(APT.). The song was nominated in three categories, including ‘Song of the Year’ and ‘Record of the Year.’ This marks a historic moment as it is the first time a K-pop genre has been nominated in the Grammy Awards’ general fields. It is also the first nomination for a female K-pop artist. Previously, male artists such as BTS had been nominated in the ‘Best Pop Duo/Group Performance’ category at the 63rd to 65th editions.
