Ned Nwoko: Betrayed After Spending ₦125 Million on Regina’s Family

A Public Statement on Marital Struggles and Family Tensions

Billionaire politician and businessman, Senator Ned Nwoko, has publicly addressed his ongoing marital issues with Nollywood actress Regina Daniels. In a detailed statement, he accused her siblings and close friends of undermining her rehabilitation process, particularly in relation to her struggles with addiction.

Nwoko took to his verified social media platform to voice his concerns, stating that Regina’s brother, Sammy West, and some of her friends had introduced her to illegal substances. He claimed that these individuals consistently disrupted efforts to help her recover from addiction. According to the senator, Sammy and his associates often “defied medical advice” by visiting Regina uninvited and bringing her drugs while she was undergoing rehabilitation.

“This is someone I sponsored through his last two years at the University of Ekpoma. I bought his musical instruments, rented and furnished a flat for him in Abuja, and even transferred ₦125 million to their mother, Rita Daniels, in the last two years,” Nwoko wrote.

He also highlighted that Regina’s doctors had instructed certain people to be restricted from visiting her during therapy. However, her siblings and friends, including Destiny, Sonia Uche Montana, and others, ignored this directive. Nwoko alleged that instead of helping her recover, they encouraged her addiction and frustrated the efforts of doctors and therapists.

“Lawrence, Sammy, Destiny, and others also took the same drugs as Regina and even supplied them to her,” he said.

Nwoko recounted several disturbing incidents, including when Regina allegedly returned home late at night after attending nightclubs and ignoring his calls. On one occasion, she left the house and didn’t return until 9 a.m., claiming she was at a nightclub. When he asked why, she responded, “You are not my father, so don’t ask me where I was.”

The senator also mentioned that her mother, Rita Daniels, often justified Regina’s substance use as part of “celebrity lifestyle.” He described the home environment as “toxic and tense” due to the interference of her siblings.

“Imagine the pain of a husband trying to help his wife recover, only to have the process sabotaged by her siblings and friends. Each time progress was made, they would undo it by smuggling in the same drugs she was fighting to give up,” Nwoko said.

He denied allegations that he sent thugs to assault Regina, insisting that the viral video of her being taken away was filmed “in front of my house in my absence.” Nwoko stated that no one was beaten and that the video was a “pure Nollywood scenario.”

“Nobody was beaten. It’s false to say that I sent thugs to beat Regina in another house. The video that went viral was filmed entirely in front of my property by Regina’s sister and her friend,” he added.

The businessman also revealed that he had sponsored Regina’s brother Lawrence to study in London with $75,000. However, he noted that Sammy declined a similar offer and instead got into repeated troubles with law enforcement.

“Sammy has since been arrested several times by both the police and EFCC. What he needs now is total rehabilitation and professional guidance,” Nwoko concluded.
