Commitment to Family Planning Services in Sindh

Hafizullah Abbasi, the Secretary of the Population Welfare Department in Sindh, has reiterated the provincial government’s dedication to ensuring that family planning services are of high quality, transparent, and easily accessible across all districts. This commitment was highlighted during a high-level meeting of the Technical Committee on Family Planning Services held in Sukkur on Thursday.

The meeting brought together senior officials from both the health and population welfare departments. Participants were provided with updates on the current status of family planning services in Sukkur, including coverage, data reporting, and stock management.

Abbasi emphasized that family planning plays a vital role in social and economic development. As part of these efforts, the meeting decided to conduct joint field visits aimed at improving service quality, accountability, and public satisfaction.

Dr Waqar Memon, the Director General of Health Sindh, along with other senior officials from the health and population welfare departments, attended the meeting. Representatives from PPHI, the Sindh Healthcare Commission, and other relevant departments were also present.
