PSG’s Plan for Désiré Doué: Premium Rehab and Return Date Set

Focus on Recovery

The priority for Désiré Doué is now recovery. Suffering from a right hamstring injury that is close to a grade-3 lesion but does not require surgery, the player has started a carefully controlled rehabilitation program. Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) is committed to ensuring there is no risk of further complications.

After experiencing two muscular issues in quick succession, the club is taking every precaution. There are no shortcuts or risks being taken—PSG is aiming for a solid and lasting return with no chance of a setback.

Rehabilitation in Doha

The next step in Doué’s recovery is heading to Doha. The young midfielder will continue his rehab at Aspetar, Qatar’s world-renowned sports medicine center. The goal is to accelerate the healing process, refine muscle work, and bring him back to full strength. PSG has a good relationship with the facility and trusts it to ensure a clean and efficient recovery.

No Return Before January

As a result, Doué will not be returning before January. The medical team estimates an absence of six to eight weeks, meaning he will not play again before the December break. At best, PSG is hoping for a full comeback right after the winter pause, possibly in the home match against Paris FC on January 4.

Rebuilding a Key Player

The objective is straightforward: rebuild one of the squad’s most explosive players without missing any steps. This approach ensures that when Doué returns, he will be in optimal condition to contribute to the team’s performance.
