The final match of this year’s Zenith Bank/Delta State Principals’ Cup is set to take place between Urhobo College, Uvwie and Government School, Ogbeijoh on Thursday, November 6 at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba. Originally, Urhobo College faced a setback when they lost 3-0 to Otokutu Grammar School in the semifinal held at the Government College, Ughelli. However, following a strong protest from the Ovwie LG Champions against Otokutu over the use of ineligible players, Urhobo College was granted the opportunity to compete in the final. This decision has been welcomed by many as a fair resolution to the dispute.

The Urhobo College team, led by Coach Fred Oteri, is now fully prepared for the final showdown against GS Ogbeijoh. The team has been undergoing rigorous training and preparation to ensure they are in top form for the big game.

Speaking about the decision to disqualify the school that fielded an ineligible player, Nwanmocha stated that it was a positive step forward. “It is only appropriate to maintain standard and integrity of the tournament. We are all set for the final and hopefully the Governor himself will be with us to celebrate the future football stars of the country,” he noted.
