These experiences have allowed him to develop a broad perspective on the global insurance market and have equipped him with the skills necessary to lead in a complex and dynamic environment.

In his new global role, Whittington will be responsible for overseeing the Specialty Credit & Mid Term division, which plays a crucial role in managing and mitigating financial risks for Allianz Trade’s clients. His leadership is expected to bring innovative approaches and strategic insights to the division, further strengthening Allianz Trade’s position in the global insurance market.

Despite his new responsibilities, Whittington will continue to be based in London, ensuring continuity and stability in the division’s operations. His deep understanding of the company’s processes and his ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment make him well-suited for this role.

The appointment of William Whittington as the new Global Head of Specialty Credit & Mid Term underscores Allianz Trade’s commitment to fostering talent and promoting leadership from within. It also highlights the company’s focus on maintaining a strong and resilient presence in the global insurance industry.
