Prime Minister Modi Vows Justice for Delhi Blast Victims
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made a strong statement regarding the recent deadly explosion in the heart of the Indian capital, promising that those responsible will not escape punishment. The incident has triggered an ongoing investigation, with authorities working tirelessly to uncover the truth behind the attack.
The explosion occurred near the historic Red Fort in Delhi, a major tourist attraction and symbol of India’s rich Mughal heritage. The blast took place on Monday afternoon on a busy street, resulting in at least eight fatalities. In the wake of the incident, authorities have taken several precautionary measures, including shutting down the Red Fort Metro station and closing the Red Fort itself for three days.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Raja Banthia stated, “Investigation is at a preliminary stage and any comment on it will be too premature.”
Modi Expresses Condolences and Commitment to Justice
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who was on a visit to Bhutan at the time of the incident, extended his condolences to the families of the victims. He expressed deep concern over the event, stating, “The horrific incident that happened in Delhi last evening has deeply disturbed everyone.”
Modi emphasized that those behind the attack would face justice. “The conspirators behind this will not be spared. All those responsible will be brought to justice,” he said. He added, “Our agencies will get to the very bottom of this conspiracy.”
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh addressed a conference in New Delhi, stating that investigative agencies are conducting a “swift and thorough inquiry into the incident.” He also mentioned that the findings of the investigation will be made public soon, though no specific timeline was provided.
Home Minister Amit Shah, during a previous statement, highlighted that all possible angles of the incident are being examined. He noted that footage from surveillance cameras in the area would play a crucial role in the investigation.

This incident comes in the shadow of another tragic event in April when an attack in Kashmir targeted Hindu tourists, resulting in 26 deaths and sparking a brief conflict with Pakistan. New Delhi attributed the attack to what it called Islamist “terrorists” backed by Pakistan, although Islamabad denied these allegations.
