In a thrilling final day of the sixth-round match of the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy 2025-26, Karachi Blues emerged victorious against Peshawar at Marghzar Cricket Ground, Islamabad. The match was marked by exceptional performances from Mohammad Hamza and Saad Baig, who played pivotal roles in securing the win.

Resuming their innings from an overnight score of 92-4, Peshawar faced a daunting target of 510 runs. However, they were eventually bundled out for 291 in 81.4 overs. Iftikhar Ahmed’s valiant innings of 108 went in vain as the pacer Mohammad Hamza delivered a remarkable fifer. Hasan Ali, coming in at number seven, made a significant impact by scoring 52 off 39 balls, including nine fours and one six. Skipper Usama Mir also contributed with a 92-ball 45, including four fours. Bahawalpur’s Saad Khan was recognized as the player of the match for his all-round performance, scoring 155 runs with the bat and taking 5-85 with the ball.
