Overview of the 2025 National Public Relations Summit
The Institute of Public Relations (IPR), Ghana, has announced that its 2025 National Public Relations Summit will be held in Takoradi, Western Region, from 13th to 15th November 2025 at the Western Atlantic Hotel. This significant event is set to bring together communication professionals from across the country under the theme “Reimagining Public Relations in a Contemporary World.” The summit is expected to be a landmark gathering, offering valuable insights and opportunities for networking.
Purpose and Significance of the Event
As IPR Ghana’s flagship annual event, the summit serves as a crucial platform for practitioners to exchange ideas, deliberate on the Institute’s business, and celebrate achievements within the profession. It provides an opportunity for participants to engage in meaningful discussions about the evolving landscape of public relations and communications.
Key Activities of the Summit
The summit will feature a range of activities over the three days:
- Conference on Thursday, 13th November: This session will serve as a forum to explore emerging trends, challenges, and opportunities shaping the public relations and communications sector.
- Annual General Meeting on Friday, 14th November: During this meeting, members will review the Institute’s progress and set strategic priorities for the coming year.
- Induction Ceremony on Friday, 14th November: Newly qualified members who have completed the IPR Ghana accreditation programme will be formally inducted into the institution.
- Legends Night on Friday, 14th November: This event will include a mentorship programme connecting senior PR professionals with emerging practitioners. Dr. Ekwow Spio-Garbrah will be honored as the legend of the evening.
- Excellence Awards Night on Friday, 14th November: A celebration of innovation, integrity, and outstanding achievements in public relations will take place during this night.
Special Guest of Honour
Nana Kobina Nketsia, Paramount Chief of the Esikado Traditional Area, will be the Special Guest of Honour for the summit. His presence is expected to add cultural significance and provide unique perspectives on the role of public relations in traditional and modern contexts.
