A Legacy of Journalism and Public Service
Born on November 7, 1965, Abati is a well-known newspaper columnist and television anchor on Arise TV. His career in journalism has been marked by dedication and excellence, earning him a respected place among his peers.
He was also the Peoples Democratic Party’s Deputy Governorship candidate in Ogun State for the 2019 governorship election, showcasing his involvement in the political arena. Abati holds a degree in Theatre Arts from the University of Calabar and is a senior research associate with the Olusegun Obasanjo Centre for Cultural Studies and the National Open University of Nigeria.
