Pakistan Shaheens to Compete in Men’s Asia Cup Rising Stars 2025
Muhammad Irfan Khan has been named the captain of the Pakistan Shaheens for the upcoming Men’s Asia Cup Rising Stars 2025 tournament. The event, which will feature eight teams, is scheduled to take place in Qatar from 14 to 23 November. This competition serves as a platform for emerging cricket talent across the Asian region.
The Pakistan Shaheens are placed in Group ‘B’ alongside Oman, India ‘A’, and UAE. Meanwhile, Group ‘A’ consists of Afghanistan ‘A’, Bangladesh ‘A’, Hong Kong, and Sri Lanka ‘A’. The tournament structure ensures that the top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals, which are set to be held on 21 November. The final match of the tournament is scheduled for Sunday, 23 November.
All matches will be played at the West End Park International Cricket Stadium in Doha. The Pakistan Shaheens will begin their campaign with a match against Oman on Friday, 14 November. They will then face India ‘A’ on Sunday, 16 November, before concluding their group stage with a game against UAE on Tuesday, 18 November.
Training Camp Preparation
Before the team departs for Qatar on 12 November, the Pakistan Shaheens will undergo a training camp from 8 to 11 November at the Hanif Muhammad High Performance Centre in Karachi. This period will be crucial for the players to fine-tune their skills and prepare mentally for the challenges ahead.
