The Digital Transformation of Park Golf in Korea
Park golf is undergoing a significant transformation, thanks to the introduction of an integrated reservation and scoring system. This innovative platform has been developed by Pixel Software, an IT solution company affiliated with VoiceCaddy. The system was showcased during the 2025 Pro Park Golf Tournament, hosted by the Korea Professional Park Golf Association.
The tournament took place at Hanyeoul Park Golf Course in Pocheon, Gyeonggi Province, from October 22 to 24. A total of 718 participants registered for the event, demonstrating the growing popularity of park golf across the country. The system’s ability to collect and analyze data in real-time has revolutionized the way competitions are managed.
Real-Time Data Analysis and Reporting
Pixel Software’s integrated operating system leverages cloud-based AI and big data technology to automatically classify various data points such as gender, age, certificate status, and region. This allows for the generation of real-time reports that enhance the efficiency and transparency of competition operations.
Key data collection and analysis performance includes:
- Gender distribution: The system automatically categorizes the gender data of 718 participants, providing clear statistics of 71.45% for men and 28.55% for women immediately. This helps identify gender and generational activity patterns, enabling customized marketing strategies for different demographics.
- Age group analysis: Detailed distribution calculations by age group, including 32.59% in their 50s and 36.35% in their 60s, show a strong trend targeting middle-aged and elderly people in their 40s and 70s, which accounted for 91.23% of the total participants. Data for the 2030s is also collected separately for marketing and policy establishment by generation.
- Certificate retention status: By linking the real names of participants with the possession of certificates, the system can immediately count 29.03% of the golf professional population. Real-time checks of authentication information help structure the professionalism and competitiveness of the competition into statistics.
- Distribution by region: The technology systematically compiles the number and proportion of participants in each region of the country, including Gyeonggi Province (32.23%), Seoul Metropolitan City (19.01%), and Incheon Metropolitan City. It clearly diagnoses the concentration of the metropolitan area (57.02%) and the nationwide expansion.
In addition to these key metrics, various other statistics such as gender-qualification, cross-analysis between age group-behavior history, and trend analysis are available for participant data. These insights are crucial for the sustainable growth management of the park golf industry, as well as for attracting and operating competitions, policy support, marketing, and member management strategies.
Advanced Features and Modular Structure
Beyond simple acceptance, Pixel Software’s platform offers differentiated functions such as analyzing real-time behavioral data, predicting competition peak times, and analyzing the frequency of participation by members. It immediately classifies multiple data such as gender, age, qualification, region, participation time, and reservation history, supporting real-time policy decision-making by local governments, associations, and organizers.
The platform features a modular structure optimized for large-scale public sports events, with UI/UX designed for big and clear letters, simple manipulation, and multi-platform response on PC, mobile, and kiosks. It also includes national integrated ID reservation and inquiry functions.
Voice Park: A National Platform for Park Golf
Based on its experience in running the competition, Pixel Software will operate an integrated platform for “Voice Park” targeting more than 450 park golf courses nationwide. Voice Park is the only platform in Korea that integrates reservation, member management, payment, and smart scoring systems. It improves the administrative efficiency of associations and local governments by more than 30%.
The digital scoring system, introduced for the first time in Korea at this competition, has been certified by the Korea Professional Park Golf Association. It is expected to contribute to the popularization of park golf as it can be easily used by anyone from professional players to ordinary hobbyists.
Voice Park provides daily, weekly, and monthly hourly operation reports through AI big data analysis, enabling data-based transparent facility operation such as reservation performance, sales settlement, member analysis, and policy support. It operates on a subscription-type (monthly payment) method, allowing users to use a national standardized platform with only monthly fees without incurring initial introduction costs.
Future Prospects
Park golf has grown 43% annually from 16,728 in 2017 to nearly 1 million in 2025. However, local governments that manage more than 90% of park golf courses nationwide still operate in traditional ways such as handwriting and phone reception.
